On the third day of the last week of the 26th International Postal Congress, critical topics were discussed and important votes took place on topics directly related to the UPU’s structure and operations.
During the Plenary Meetings of the day lead by PTT Chairman of the Board and Director General H.E. Kenan BOZGEYİK, discussions took place on the fundamental issues concerning UPU. At the afternoon session, elections took place to select the member countries for UPU’s final decision making organ, the Council of Administration. Chairman of the Board and General Director H.E. Kenan BOZGEYİK congratulated the countries elected and stated that he is pleased to have the opportunity to work with them for the next four years.
During the day long sessions of the Plenary, the steps needed to be taken to overcome the obstacles facing the postal sector and the ways to make the postal sector more productive were discussed. It was especially emphasized that all member countries must take on these responsibilities.
